Organizing a kitchen pantry is a household chore that everyone should master. This is one of the most effective ways to keep everything in your house in order. Here are ways to help you have an organize pantry. The first thing you need to do is to clear the pantry. Remove all the things that you don’t need any more.

Throw away those items that are old or expired. Do not hesitate to remove the items you never use or don’t need.

Before you store the items, make sure you clean it first. Use a dry towel to clean the shelves. Sort all the items depending on their usage rate. You should store items just like what they do in the grocery stores. Put the items that you usually use where you can see it immediately or where you can get them easily.

You can also organize the items basing from their category. Use a particular shelf for one category and do not include not related items. So if you have a shelf for canned goods. Make sure it is only for canned goods and not with cooking items.

When you stack the items by category, do it from smallest to biggest. To easily locate the item, put an identification mark in front of the shelf indicating their category.

Start filling the shelves with the same item. Do this with one category at a time. Put small items in a plastic container or small box to keep them together.

If you have breakable and heavy items, keep them on the lower shelf or on the floor. If in case the shelf is full and there are extra items left, remove those items that are less used. Put them somewhere else such as in drawers or cabinets.
